HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The creation of Kusada Local Government gave birth to the Kusada LGEA in 1996. the first substracive Education secretary was Alhaji Mani Maisalati. The present Education Secretary is Alhaji Mansir Usman Murnai who assumed office in 2002.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTION
UNICEF/DFID
Kusada LGEA is among the six Local Government to participate in from Girls Education project. (GEP). The project is aimed at increasing girls’ enrolment, retention and completion of their Primary Education. Other contributions are:
- Provision of sewing and knitting machines to Non-formal Education Centres in 20 focus communities
- Provision of textbooks and exercise books to 20 focus primary schools
- Provision of boreholes in 20 focus primary schools in the LGEA
- Provision of Fit Latrines 20 focus primary schools in the LGEA
